How to use Compress & resize video

Resize and re-encode bounded video locally with adjustable bitrate and frame rate. Smaller output is not guaranteed.

  1. Choose one local file or use the synthetic sample, then set the options. No reading or encoding starts until the action is chosen.
  2. One file ≤30 MiB / 60 seconds; one audio + one video track; mono/stereo 8–48 kHz; SDR video ≤1080p / 30 fps / 1,800 frames. Output ≤32 MiB. Native codecs vary.
  3. Contains without cropping or upscaling. Alpha is discarded. Bitrate is a target and output can be larger. Source metadata, chapters and original compression are discarded. Codecs must be available locally; no upload or server fallback. Re-encoding changes quality.
  4. Run locally and review the result. Downloaded files remain on your device. Edit, Clear or leaving discards the old result; Cancel terminates its worker. No file or result is uploaded or stored in your account.
