How to use Local table viewer

Inspect CSV, TSV and XLSX values with worksheet tabs, search, filters and full CSV export.

  1. Choose a local CSV, TSV or XLSX file, then choose Open table. Choosing a file alone does not read it. Try the labelled fictitious sample without using a file allowance.
  2. Select a worksheet. Column addresses work even with blank or duplicate first-row labels. Enable first-row labels only if your file has them.
  3. Search, choose literal column filters and optional stable text/numeric sorting, then Apply view. Scroll both axes or choose Accessible pages to reach every row and column.
  4. Run a numeric summary only for the explicit filtered-row/column range you choose. Decimal-dot numbers are approximate; no table values are converted.
  5. Download every filtered/sorted row as CSV. Exact values preserve leading zeros and formula-like text; an optional protected mode adds a disclosed apostrophe prefix. Preview snippets never truncate the download.

Common questions

Which tables and workbook values can I inspect?

Free: 100 MiB per file · 500,000 rows · 1,000 columns · 1,000,000 cells · 100 MiB cell text · 256 MiB output. Larger profile: 500 MiB per file · 2,000,000 rows · 1,000 columns · 3,000,000 cells · 300 MiB cell text · 1024 MiB output. CSV/TSV must be UTF-8. XLSX displays selected-sheet cached values without evaluating formulas; missing caches are blank and disclosed. Charts, macros, formatting, merged layouts and external links are not reproduced. The first byte, rectangle or text limit reached applies; large-table responsiveness depends on shape and device. Files and filters stay in page memory.
