How to use Offline utilities

Optionally save verified public code for the 26 text/developer/calculator utilities. Files and results are never cached.

  1. Open Offline utilities while connected and choose Enable offline utilities. This explicit action installs a service worker limited to tool documents and verifies a bounded public-code asset list.
  2. The included tools are listed on that page. Open one of those tools after installation to use it without a connection. Other tools may need a connection for their engines/codecs; account and billing services always need a connection.
  3. If your browser offers Install app, you can choose it. Browser support varies; installation is optional and does not create an account or store your input history.
  4. Saved public code can be removed with Remove saved offline code or by clearing site data. Browser storage pressure may also evict it. Updates wait for older controlled windows to close and do not reload active work.
  5. No files, text, results, account/API responses or arbitrary visited pages enter the offline cache. Working input still clears when its workspace is cleared or left.

Common questions

Does offline mode save my files or make every tool available offline?

Only the listed 26 utilities and their verified public application assets are included initially. User content, account/API responses and visited-page history are never cached. Keep originals and downloaded results yourself; browser storage can be cleared or evicted.
