How to use URL encoder & decoder

Encode or decode a URL component or form field value without opening a link.

  1. Choose your input type and options. Try the clearly labelled sample first.
  2. Up to 1 MiB of UTF-8 input and 4 MiB of output. Runs locally after you choose the action.
  3. Encode one component or field value. This does not encode a complete URL. Invalid percent sequences and UTF-8 are rejected.
  4. Choose the action to process locally, review the text result, then copy or download it. Editing or clearing the input discards the old result. Cancel stops the worker; leaving the page clears working data. No input or result is uploaded or stored by this tool.
