How to use Base64 encoder & decoder

Encode UTF-8 text as Base64 or Base64url, or strictly decode it locally. Encoding is not encryption.

  1. Choose your input type and options. Try the clearly labelled sample first.
  2. Up to 1 MiB of UTF-8 input and 4 MiB of output. Runs locally after you choose the action.
  3. Text only. Decode requires canonical padding/bits and valid UTF-8; internal whitespace and binary data are rejected. Base64 does not protect secrets.
  4. Choose the action to process locally, review the text result, then copy or download it. Editing or clearing the input discards the old result. Cancel stops the worker; leaving the page clears working data. No input or result is uploaded or stored by this tool.
