How to use JWT inspector

Read a JWT header and payload locally. Claims and signatures remain unverified.

  1. Choose your input type and options. Try the clearly labelled sample first.
  2. Three-part compact tokens up to 64 KiB; 64 JSON container levels and 20,000 values.
  3. UNVERIFIED: this only reads text. No signature, issuer, audience or trust is checked. Do not treat decoded claims as proof of identity. Encrypted tokens are unsupported; no key is fetched.
  4. Choose the action to process locally, review the text result, then copy or download it. Editing or clearing the input discards the old result. Cancel stops the worker; leaving the page clears working data. No input or result is uploaded or stored by this tool.
